This week has been extremely challenging for us. My nephew is still confined in the hospital. And we continue to pray that the Factor VIII works on his blood soon. Medical and hospitalization expenses have been growing and we continue to do all we can to manage it. Donation campaigns and fund raising activities are on the works, one of which is my upcoming handmade sale, which I mentioned on my post earlier. I’ll be selling ribbon topiaries among others:
I also shared my ribbon topiary with my craft group and it is the first time I got more than 300 likes! Woo-hoo! Hahaha. And so to savor this positive thing amdist this challenging time, I am sharing this video tutorial to give back the encouragement I and my family have been getting lately. 🙂
Please like and share and subscribe to my channel for more video tutorials.
But above all else, please continue to pray with us — for the healing and recovery of Edj, and for God’s provision as well.
Luke 1:37 says, “For with God, nothing shall be impossible.”
I forgot to put my lipstick and English on! XD But my special cutie guest saved the day. Or night. 🙂
In this tutorial, I am sharing how I create my felt rose topiaries or bouquets, one of Eclations best sellers.
Geeeze, can’t believe I’m exposing my secrets. Kidding! This is no secret, there are tons of tutorials like this one out there, but more contributions wouldn’t hurt, would they? 🙂
So I hope you like this DIY! Feel free to send me your feedback or leave your comments. Critic if you must. Subscribe if you will. 😉
Thank you so much!
And as a little backstory, it has been a really hectic, busy, and somewhat stressful work week. So I just had to turn to my craft tools and flowers to make me feel better… And re-charge! 😉 Thank God for His gift of arts and crafts. :”>
Today I delivered these flower topiaries to be given away to our empowering and inspiring women in Technology at work. I started making these Spiral Bouquets last year as token to our IWD speakers and I am glad my colleagues re-considered me for this year’s continuing IWD engagements!
I was really nervous about how these will turn out. As you can see, I deviated from my typical color combinations and pastels. But thank God everything turned out fine and cute just the same.
I’ll be working on 2 more but will rest for a bit. It’s 3 am by the time I finished these 4. Can you believe it? Well, as they say… Time flies when you’re having fun!
And now I am super duper ultra mega sleepy! But I am happy. 🙂
There is an endless world to crafting. One can craft all day and all night and still have a million other things to do. Especially now that everything seems available over the internet, how does one decide which to and which not to craft?
Don’t choose. Just do it all! Or at least try it all. 😋
And I’m sure among the many things you make, there are those that you’ll fall in love with. A craft that you will want to focus on. A craft that you will do all over again.
In my case, I love almost anything paper, felt or fabric. Yeah, yeah. Still vast, I know.
But if I may narrow things down, I love flowers and owls!
Just like this one.
I have always wanted to make a spiral bouquet ever since I received one from mommy Editte. I was never confident I’d do a good job at it, but I tried anyway. And I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.Well I could. And I did. Hahaha.
Sabi ko nga kay Meeya, eh kasi yung order nya, nanganganak!
For a time, I loved making these spiral bouquets I felt really blessed for opportunities that came then. I actually had the honor of making more of these topiaries to give to 3 inspiring and empowered women from our company:
Ayiiii! Now I wanna create more. But first, I need to ‘create time.’ Hahaha. If you know how to craft time, lemme know, will you?! 😂
Yeah I know. My greeting is a week late but it’s better late than never. Afterall, we do not begin or end being a mother on the second Sunday of May. So why not celebrate every Sunday or better yet, everyday?!
But enough with the excuses. I really wish all moms and moms-at-heart a happy mothers day! I hope you had a blast celebrating the day with your family! Coz I sure did!
And one of the highlights of my day was my flower exchange with a craft mom friend. She gave me this really lovely and pretty spiral flower topiary. I really really really like it! And even now, I smile whenever I look at it. As in!
And in return, I gave her a felt flower bouquet. I would like to think it is equally pretty, but even if it is not, I am blessed that my mommy friend still loved it!
And here are felt rose topiaries I sold for other moms. Except for the one in the middle which I previously made for my cousin who’s getting married soon. Have I mentioned that this cousin of mine is the most gorgeous person I have met? Again, as in!
Well then, that’s all for now. I will be off to mommy duties again.
